In Loving Memory of Dusty

A few years ago our family was touched by a magnificent cat who we would come to know as Dusty. She was lying under a truck on a hot day. Labored breathing, her nose running like a river and meowing so faintly. She fit in the palm of my hand. We took her to the vet and were told she had Feline Leukemia. Uneducated, I had to be given a quick definition. Briefly put...it is a virus and these cats have a lower immune system. Eventually they pass away from Cancer which is what happened to our Dusty. There is great information on the web regarding this virus. Please educate yourself. As for these cats, there are many waiting for homes! Some may not live as long as others. Our Dusty lived 5 great years! She loved life and was my sons best friend. If you do not have any other cats or maybe want a pair of FEL cats look into it. We hope this page serves as a memory of our Dusty. Her life will continue to go on as we educate people like you about a disease many years ago never existed. I was afraid of this virus until I was educated about it? After I found out how easy it was just to love her the rest was history. Of course I quickly learned there was no risk to my family and they pass it to other cats only through urination, feces, saliva etc Dusty was such a bright light to our family. She was full of spunk and loved her window seat watching the squirrels. I know as she left this world she continues on being a brighter light than she was here, spreading her joy for eternity! To help her continue her journey look up Feline Leukemia and check out how easy it is to open your heart to one of these cats. To learn more about Feline Leukemia click here

In Loving Memory of Lady

Due to inadequate veterinarian care while at the facility she was rescued from, Lady has now passed away. Although Lady is no longer with us, her spirit lives on through her 3 beautiful puppies. All of these puppies have been happily adopted. This girl showed us the sadness of being stuck in a shelter waiting for their owner to return. Scared, sick and alone we rescued her a little to late. She had a few days of love and a yard and sunshine in her foster home. She died with someone by her side crying and wishing it was different for her and so many of these animals. I hope the time she had in her fosters home was enough to erase what her previous owners let her endure.

In Loving Memory of Chloe

Chloe fought a long difficult battle with a rare illness (Blastomycosis), and finally her little body had enough. Thankfully she was rescued in time to find a loving family, who gave her enough love in just a few short months, to last a lifetime. To learn more about Blastomycosis click here
